30 day poetry challenge, day 11

--

Life

Morning dawns, and we awake,

As bad-tempered and angry

As evil spirits at midnight,

And we prepare for the day.

Midday looms,

We are full of energy,

We go about the day

Without a care in the world.

As midday comes and goes,

We lose the energy of yore

And start to settle down.

In the evening we stop and reflect

Upon the days achievements,

And peacefully slip into the night.
