30 day poetry challenge: day 24

--

Nature’s beauty you may not have, but you are you.

Howling wind, thrashing waves,
Stinging sand, biting cold,
Sea confronts liquid gold
And hollows out mount’n caves.

Glaring sun, salty air,
Diving gulls, high-up dunes,
My heart beats to nature’s
Ever-here beauty tune.

Out here in nowhere-land,
Life runs a little slow,
As we stroll hand-in-hand.

I stop, look at you glow,
Nature’s beauty you may
Not have, but you are you.
