30 day poetry challenge: day 27

--

Damned if you do, damned if you don’t.

I am at crossroads.
I don’t know how to decide
Between left and right.
Don’t know if I want to.

Sweat beasts on my forehead,
Gathers slowly, the drops,
Drip, drip, drip.
Onto the tarmac.

I lift one leg, put it down,
Scratch behind my ear and
Gather up all my courage.

Heart pounding,
I make the fatal step.
And fall flat on my arse.
