Sonnet no. 5

Oh Earth, oh sky, oh Life and Death and Heaven and Hell,

Oh Art, oh Joy, oh Misery, Grief, Frustration,

Oh Courage and Despair and Desperation,

Oh Pain, oh Touch, oh Sight, oh Sound, oh Taste and Smell!

Oh Warmth, oh Cold, oh Heat, oh seasons of the year,

Be your golden rays penetrating to the core,

Or your biting wind through my layers bore,

Oh God or Gods in the heavens above up there!

Oh pitiful lute singing your despair,

You are dead, you are nothing, you are gone without her,

What are you going to do in the world out there?

You loved her, you poured your soul into helping her,

You had everything, and now nothing, you gave it all,

For it to be snatched by the dark abyss of Death.

Yep, this poem confirms it; good poetry requires inspiration.

And I’m all out.
