30 poetry challenge: day 12

--

Music

Metal is thick and powerful,

Sweet honey for the ears,

A magical barrage of sound

That knocks you to the ground.

Classical is light and thin,

Sweet enough, but not too much,

And jazz and blues are

The jarring, bitter, exquisite taste of citrus fruit.

Music must be tasteful,

Carefully laid out

Like a musical feast.

It must be healthy, clean,

Not too little, nor too much,

To feed the soul as good music does.
